Well, I guess you could say that I am at the end. The end of this pregnancy that is…
This pregnancy has been very good to me. I really don’t have any complaints at all. To be honest I am still pretty comfortable, I don’t have a lot of aches and pains, and in comparison to my last pregnancy I have had virtually zero swelling, and blood pressure has stayed awesome(woot!). I am sure, if you are pregnant, reading any of that may make you want to smack me, but every pregnancy is different and like I said, with my daughter-it was no where near as easy as this one!

Some people have asked me when I am taking on sessions again, and as of right now I am taking until at least the New year off. There are a few reason’s why, but mainly just to spend some good quality time with my little family and get into a good routine. I am most definitely taking on weddings for next season, and of course any other sessions after the new year are also welcome!

I do have to give a shout out to my brides this past season, you all have been wonderful to me in regards to shooting while pregnant. Not only that, your families were also so gracious, and amazing in helping me if I needed it and with their well wishes. Thank you and much love!

Now, I wanted to share some images of our nursery. We definitely took our time with decorating this room, and I mean sweet time. Literally, as of last week we didn’t have the glider or some of the shelving, but it all came in and we are done! We do not know what we are having so, we stuck with a very gender neutral nursery. I am very happy with the way that it turned out, and locating some of the pieces that we ended up putting into the room, felt like the most daunting task. Once the baby is born we will be adding some colour(blue or pink’s, that sort of thing). If you are wanting to know where we purchased any of the items in our nursery, feel free to comment or email and I am more then happy to share!

Happy Wednesday!!

Your nursery is beautiful. Love every part of it. Can I ask what paint colour you used?ReplyCancel

    • Thank you! Oh boy… Paint colour… I can’t remember the colour code. It is a Behr Paint/Primer in one from Home depot. If I come across the paint swatch, I will let you know.ReplyCancel

Rain. Laughter. Love. Family. Friends. Marriage. Wedding.

When I think of Marietta and Brian’s day, these are the words that come to mind. But not the only words.

There are so many words that could describe what I saw between these two, and their family and friends. And I feel so lucky to have been able to witness all of this.

From the moment that Marietta contacted me, I could not wait to be a part of their day. In between emails, messages, and meetings, I felt so lucky to be included in what was in store for their day, and I loved that Marietta could feel comfortable enough with me, to keep me in the loop about what she and Brian were thinking. There is nothing more flattering then having clients come to you for an opinion or input.

Marietta and Brian, there truly aren’t enough words that come to mind to let you know how thankful I am that I got to be a part of your day. But I do hope that you know, that I truly did feel like a part of your day, even well before the day itself. And if the rain is supposed to be good luck on your wedding day, then I wish you many more rainy days filled with even more love, laughter, friends, and family.

Also, a Great big THANK you to Kate Gass for helping me out that day!!

Happy Friday!

A beautiful little beach wedding at Rocky Crest… Who could possibly say no?

Terry-Lynn and John have been together for many years, they have endured many hurdles to get to this point of coming together as one. As Terry-Lynn put it, many happy tears, and on this day there was no shortage of even more happy tears.

I loved watching these 2 families come together as one, I loved seeing the emotion on everyone’s faces, and I loved being there to capture it all.

Terry-Lynn and John, Thank you for asking me to be a part of your union. It was my honour, and I wish you guys many, many more happy years, and happy tears to go along with it!

Happy Thursday!

Where, oh where do I possibly begin to express my love for this little family?

I really don’t know if there are enough words to describe how much I loved this session. The light was perfect, family was gorgeous, and there were so many of those perfect in-between moments.

You see, to me, family photos aren’t necessarily about those perfectly posed family shots. They are the moments that happen while trying to get that “perfect” shot. The in-between. Those moments are the moments that people remember. You never hear someone say… “Remember how much fun it was to sit there posed?”… uhhh no. You hear “Remember how hard it was to get the kids to sit?” or “Remember how our kid screamed the entire time?”. THOSE are the moments that everyone remembers… forever.

Gold family… I hope you cherish these photos forever. You truly do have a beautiful family, and it means the world to me that I have captured moments like these for you.

Happy Friday!

Gosh, I do love it when past clients contact me to do Newborn shots of their newest addition.

Last year, I did Adam’s big sister, Audrey, and boy was she a cutie. I couldn’t wait to meet Audrey’s baby brother, and have a chance to catch up with Audrey and Adam’s mom.

It was a great session, and we tried to capture a few of the same poses, as we did with Audrey, but as always babies rule the shoot and tell me what’s going to work…. and what isn’t. 😉

Happy Wednesday!
